A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture can help to resolve pain, and improve sleep, digestive function, and sense of well-being. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.

Does acupuncture work?

Yes, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has determined that "There is sufficient evidence acupuncture's value to incorporate it into conventional medicine."

 

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture doesn't hurt. The pins are the size of a human hair.

 

Are there any side effects?

No, there are no side effects with acupuncture.

 

Can acupuncture help me?

Most likely, yes. While acupuncture is often associated with pain relief, the World Health Organization recognizes the value of acupuncture for the following conditions:

 

Dr. Stone has been a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist for over 42 years. He is a lifetime resident of the area and is familiar with some of our members already! He recently closed his practice in the Portage Lakes area and now wishes to bring the benefits of acupuncture of The Shaw JCC.

Services are available by appointment only and must be pre-paid. If you have any concerns about your health, consult your physician prior to scheduling. Medicare covers acupuncture when prescribed by an MD or DO. Some insurance companies cover Acupuncture. Check your insurance plan.
