ECE Enrichment Classes

 

At the Lisa & Thom Mandel Early Child Education Center, we offer exciting early childhood enrichment classes for our students and all children in the area! Classes and times change throughout the year to offer the best programming for your little one. Must be preregistered to attend. *Children will be picked up from their ECE classrooms and returned at the end of class. Guests will drop-off/pick-up at the front foor.

Spring Sports with Ms. Janice 

 

March 25 - May 20

(No class on April 22)

Mondays: 1-1:45 p.m.

Ages: 3 - 5

 

Join Ms. Janice for activities that introduce young athletes to T-ball, kickball, tennis, and pickleball. Children will participate in skill-building activities like bae running, batting off a tee, and serving a ball. 

Little Kickers Soccer Club

 

March 26 - May 21

(No class on April 23)

Age 3: Tuesdays: 1 - 1:45 p.m.

Ages 4: Tuesdays: 2 - 2:45 p.m.

 

Join Ms. Karly for Little Kickers Soccer Club. Children will learn basic soccer skills in structured and fun ways by participating in unique games and skill-building activities while enriching social skills and teamwork. Coach Karly has been playing soccer for 25 years at the collegiate level. Along with coaching Litle Kickers, Kayly coaches numerous club teams.

Little Chefs

 

March 27 - May 22

(No class on April 24)

Wednesdays: 1 - 1:45 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Children will learn culinary skills and get their hands dirty as they create tasty treats made with Kosher ingredients. Edible playdough, sugar scrub, s’mores kits, and more will be made by these little chefs alongside our master chef, Ms. Lyndsey.  

Monster Mayhem

 

March 28 - May 23

(No class April 25)

Thursdays: 1 - 1:45 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Do you like three-eyed monsters? Fuzzy monsters? Friendly monsters? what about monsters that don't behave? Join Ms. Lori as she introduces books like Spider Sandwiches and The Gruffalo. Monsters muck, art, monster snacks, and even the Monsters Mash will be happening in this friendly monster-themed class. 

Tiny Tumblers

 

March 28 - May 23

(No class on April 25)

Thursdays: 3:15 - 4:00 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Ms. Stephanie will share her love of gymnastics, with your little ones. Children will develop gross motor coordination, strength, balance, and basic tumbling and gymnastic skills in a fun and safe environment. Coach Steph has 14 years of experience as a gymnast and 7 years of preschool gymnastics coaching experience.  

Squeaky Sneaker Club

 

March 29 - May 24

(No class on April 26)

Fridays: 1 - 1:45 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Children will build fine and gross motor skills through activities such as throwing, balancing, parachute play, and maybe even an indoor “snowball” fight. Skipping, galloping, running, jumping, and hoping will be happening in this fun and physical class. We can hear those sneakers squeaking now!

Art & Literacy Camp

 

June 10-14 

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Campers will enjoy listening to favorite children's books and creating art inspired by the characters or ideas in the book! Children will be exposed to many different children's books, authors, and illustrators as well as numerous kinds of art media. Ms. Sue will help children create their own snacks each day as well!

Animal Adventure Camp

 

June 17-21

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Would you like to feed a turtle, pet a ferret, or see a dog do tricks? Join Ms. Lori to welcome live animals for up-close encounters in this animal-themed camp. Campers will adopt their own pretend animals that need to be cared for throughout the week. Crafts, outdoor animal tracking, games, snacks, book and many other animal adventures await!

Nuts for Nature Camp

 

June 24-28

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Come explore the great outdoors here at the J with Ms. Lyndsey! Investigate everything from creatures, to wild-life and growing things! Create nature-themed crafts like suncatchers and go on nature scavenger hunts! Beat the heat with sweet summer treats like delicious "bird nests," and delectable "ants on a log."

Out of this World Space Camp

 

July 8-12

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Let's go visit the planets together...maybe in a rocket ship? A flying saucer? Join us as we enter a new galaxy and learn about planets and constellations, life in space, and space travel! Space-themed adventures await your camper with crafts, games, science, math, literacy and social-building skills and opportunities.

Dinosaur Camp

 

July 15-19

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Join Ms. Lisa to dig into the wonderful world of dinosaurs! Campers will become paleontologists as they learn about herbivores, carnivores, and every kind in between, from smallest to tallest! Crafts, activities, literacy experiences and hands-on learning make this dino-themed camp popular every summer!

Summer with Seuss Camp

 

July 29-August 2

1-3:30 p.m.

Ages: 3-5

 

Spend a summer week with Dr. Seuss! Take a rhyming and whimsical ride through the many books written by this beloved author. Children will enjoy games and activities, learning and fun, based on silly themes from Dr. Seuss books. Imaginative and unusual snacks will be created by campers along with other hands-on, silly experiences that will be sure to keep everyone laughing. Oh, The Places We’ll Go!

Kindergarten Boot Camp

 

August 5-9

1-3:30 p.m.

*Only for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall

 

This week's camp is all about getting your child excited about kindergarten. Campers will participate in crafts, read books, and play games that will strengthen what they have learned in Pre-K and get them excited for what is to come this Fall in kindergarten. In a fun "boot camp," style your camper will review letters, numbers, colors and shapes in addition to sharpening writing skills.
