Brain Health Talk & Memory Screening offered Jan. 31

Summit County residents are invited to a free, informational presentation, Jan. 31, to learn about brain health and how to make the most of it while aging. This lecture “Brain Health as You Age: You can make a Difference” is part one in the Brain Health series offered by the Shaw JCC of Akron in collaboration with the Summit Home Health Service division of Menorah Park.

Both organizations are closely working together with Menorah Park’s Center 4 Brain Health to bring this nationally recognized curriculum to Akron. The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) has chosen Menorah Park’s Center 4 Brain Health as one of North America’s most innovative active-aging programs for 2016.

Free memory screening will be provided to those who attend. The event is free and open to the community; however, RSVP is required to Rachel Williams at 330-835-0027 or Sheila Sebree at 330-867-2143.

The Brain Health Talk will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., at the Shaw JCC in Akron located at 750 White Pond Drive.
